This Privacy Policy explains how Luxia (“App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses,
and shares information when you use our iOS radio streaming application. By using
Luxia, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Luxia is a radio streaming application that lets you discover and listen to internet
radio stations. Station listings and stream metadata may be provided through
third-party sources (including the Radio Browser community API).
Depending on how you use Luxia, we may collect or process the following:
App usage data — features you use (for example browsing stations,
favorites, playback actions), approximate crash or diagnostic information, and
general device information needed to run the App
Device information — device model, iOS version, language/locale,
and identifiers used by Apple or advertising partners (such as IDFA only if you
grant tracking permission)
Location (optional) — if you enable features such as “Near Me,”
we may use your device location to suggest nearby stations. Location is requested
only after an in-app explanation; you can deny or revoke access in iOS Settings
Purchases & subscriptions — whether you have an active Luxia Pro
(or similar) subscription. Payment details are handled by Apple; we do not receive
your full payment card information
Local preferences — favorites, custom station URLs you import,
sleep timer settings, and similar preferences may be stored on your device
Personal media (optional) — short moment clips you create may be
stored locally on your device for private use
Support communications — if you email us, we receive the content
of your message and your email address
You can use core listening features without creating an account. We do not require
your name, email, or phone number for basic browsing and playback unless you
voluntarily contact us.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
Provide, maintain, and improve Luxia and its features
Remember your preferences (favorites, settings, imported stations)
Enable optional location-based discovery when you allow it
Process and verify in-app purchases and subscriptions via Apple
Show advertisements in the free version (see Advertising below)
Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and understand aggregate usage
Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service
4. Advertising
The free version of Luxia may display advertisements from third-party networks such as
Google AdMob. These partners may collect device or usage information (including
advertising identifiers) according to their own privacy policies and applicable
platform rules, including App Tracking Transparency on iOS.
You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings. Premium subscriptions may remove or reduce
ads where offered.
5. Third-party services
Luxia may rely on third parties, including:
Radio Browser / station directories — to fetch station listings and
stream metadata
Stream hosts & broadcasters — audio is delivered by third-party
stream URLs; their servers may receive your IP address and standard network logs
when you play a station
Apple — App Store distribution, subscriptions, and related services
Ad networks — such as Google AdMob for free-tier advertising
We do not control third-party stream servers or station operators. Their practices are
governed by their own policies.
6. Data storage & retention
Preferences, favorites, imported stations, and moment clips are typically stored on
your device. If we process limited diagnostic or support data, we retain it only as
long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.
Deleting the App from your device generally removes locally stored App data, unless
also stored in iCloud or backups you control.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
With service providers who help operate the App (hosting, analytics, ads), under appropriate safeguards
With Apple in connection with App Store purchases and platform requirements
When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or the App
In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or asset sale), if applicable
8. Children’s privacy
Luxia is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your
country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you
believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take
appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your choices & rights
Deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings
Control App Tracking / Personalized Ads in iOS Settings
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
Clear local App data by deleting the App
Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, where applicable law provides those rights
10. International users
If you use Luxia from outside the country where we operate, your information may be
processed in other countries that may have different data-protection laws. We take
reasonable steps to handle information in accordance with this Policy.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the
top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes become effective
constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App.
